What Goes Around Comes Around


When students move out of their residence halls at the end of the year, they donate gently used items like linens, bathroom and kitchen supplies, clothing, and unopened food stuffs. We keep all these items out of landfill by donating food to the Feed U Pantry and redistributing everything else to students in a free pop-up thrift shop at the beginning of the next semester. The program, fondly known as “WGACA,” helps meet students’ basic needs, promotes a circular economy, and moves toward a zero waste campus.

Pop-Up Thrift Shop

In partnership with Facilities Management, Housing and Residential Education, the Sustainability Office will host a FREE pop-up thrift shop to redistribute the clothing we collected during moveout. Bring a friend and take what you need: we have jeans, tops, sweatshirts, athletic wear, sweater, jackets, dresses, and more. This is a one-afternoon-only opportunity, so don’t miss it!

When: Friday, August 18, 2023 | 12 - 4 p.m.
Where: Student Union | East Ballroom on the second floor

Donation collections begin on April 26, 2023! We accept collections 24/7 in Kahlert Village and Peterson Heritage Center, and from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. in Lassonde Studios.
